Our Story

Momorã began as a way to stay connected.

Founded by Gabriela Recalde, an immigrant from Paraguay, the brand was born from a desire to honor where she comes from while building something new in the U.S.

Growing up, Ñandutí lace was always present. Delicate, intricate, and deeply rooted in Paraguayan tradition. But after moving to the U.S., it became nearly impossible to find.

Momorã was created to change that.

To bring this craftsmanship into modern pieces.

To give it a place in today’s world.

To tell the stories behind it.

Momorã means to admire and that’s at the heart of everything we do.

A way to admire culture, to admire craftsmanship, and to admire the hands that make each piece possible.

The Momorã Philosophy

Honoring tradition

We celebrate Paraguayan craftsmanship and the artisans who keep it alive.

Craft over speed
Each piece is made in small runs, with intention and care.

Meaning in the details
From thread to finish, every element exists for a reason.

Design & Craft

Every Momorã piece begins with the hands of Paraguayan artisans.

Ñandutí lace is entirely handmade thread by thread using techniques passed down through generations. No two pieces are ever exactly the same.

We design around this process, not against it.

Garments are created to complement the lace, allowing it to stand out while still feeling wearable, effortless, and modern.

The result is a balance of old and new heritage craftsmanship, reimagined for everyday life.
